Freelancers use very diverse forms of work models
The report “New forms of employment” (Eurofund July 2018) groups these new forms of work into 9 large families. All these families are covered by the label.
INTERIM MANAGEMENT
Is the use of high-level external operational skills for a limited time to accomplish a specific goal. Specialized temporary employment agencies that recruit management staff are included in this framework even if they are not included in the Eurofund report.
Collaborative employment
This definition includes freelancers who work through the Portage Salarial or individuals who work through “activity and employment cooperatives”. This category also includes coworking spaces.
Crowd employment

ICT-based mobile work
Les travailleurs peuvent effectuer leur métier n’importe où et n’importe quand grâce aux nouvelles technologies.
Voucher-based work
The worker is remunerated via vouchers provided by an authorized organization that pays social security contributions. Example in France: the Universal Service Employment Check (CESU).
Portfolio work
The freelancer works for multiple clients for whom he performs certain tasks.
Employee sharing
A group of companies that partner to hire full-time or year-round staff that they prefer not to hire on their own.
Job sharing
