Companies where freelance work is performed in the best conditions.
Presentation
The BEST PLACE TO FREELANCE Label is issued exclusively by BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION. This label aims to highlight companies that offer the best conditions for freelance workers.
Daniel Pardo, author of “How to work with independents in France”, is the driving force behind the BEST PLACE TO FREELANCE label initiative.
Transformations to our society and economy have brought about a need and a desire to increase flexibility and agility among businesses and workers. These changes, along with the appeal of self-employment to workers themselves, have led to the emergence of new forms of work throughout the world. These societal transformations have changed the traditional relationship between employer and employee.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the radical changes we are witnessing, and then see what this label can bring to your business and how we can support your company as it adjusts to these new developments.
INDEPENDENT WORK
A BASIC TREND
Two centuries after the introduction of wage labor, freelancing and new forms of work are gaining popularity. In the modern world, the number of “freelancers” is becoming a force to contend with.

FREELANCE WORK
THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER
Societal transformations have modified traditional relationships between employer and employee. These developments are characterized by contractual formalities, work patterns and unconventional workplaces.
HIRING FREELANCE WORKERS
DIFFERENT COMPANIES, DIFFERENT PRACTICES
As with the diversity in forms of work, companies have very different interactions, operations, and practices in regard to freelancers. Some companies have wholeheartedly embraced these new workplace patterns, while others have done nothing to adapt to the new reality. This label and our support were designed for companies who are aware of their role vis-à-vis the independent workers who intervene in or for their company.
